The Tikku Memorial Award was established by the family of the late Professor Girdhari Tikku, of the Department of Comparative and World Literature, in his memory. The fund provides for graduate and undergraduate student awards for a comparative essay on Persian or Indian culture in their interrelations with each other or with other world traditions. Separate graduate and undergraduate prizes will be awarded based on an essay and good academic standing.
